Time to go back to Kaoshiung
On the second day in Taitung, we got up in the early morning, finished breakfast at the hotel, then, got all the packages on and took ten minutes walk to the shuttle bus station, the morning there was filled with the fresh air and pleasing sunshine, quite different with the morning in Kaoshiung( there, I always had to wear mask to avoid the tiny particle being absorbed by my airway). When arriving at the bus station, we had our packages deposit, then started to think where to play cause we didn't enough homework on it, while I and Mom discussing intensely, a bus arrived at the station, and a man walked out, asking if anyone there would like to check the view of the sea line out, Mom also went asking the detail of the plan, originally, I didn't tend to join them cause there might be some timing issue of it, but later on, we made the final decision, we walked onto the bus, with about ten people, and started out journey to the "water" of Taitung. There was a man standing in the front row inside the bus, with a microphone box on his body, he was the guide for the trip. The bus started moving while the guide introduced himself to us, he works as the official at the earth science field, he spoke fluently, and have lots of knowledge stored in his brain, he never stopped talking about the whole trip, except a little break time when we headed back. The view along the side was so stunning that we even couldn't have spare time to rest, cause I constantly pressing the button of the camera in order to capture all of the scenes. The view outside was the huge water with deep blue, a row of coconut trees standing beside the streets, which tried to block our view to the ocean, but it didn't bother me at all, after all, they all belonged to nature. Our first stop was at Xiaoyeliu, a place which was pretty similar with Yeliu in Taipei, the guide gave us only 15 minutes, thus, we walked pretty fast through the aisle which went down to the sea, and within three minutes, the blue sky and the rocks with different shapes popped up in front of us, I would like to go more closely to the water, but because of the time limit, we had no choice but took some pictures quickly then headed back, continue our journey. The guide let us have a short break outside the bus where own the magnificent view, so definitely we took lots of pictures especially the one I posed like the classic scene in "Titanic", I though I do pretty well, didn't I? The guide absolutely made the journey fill with the academic atmosphere, he told us the tradition of aboriginal, the composition of the mountain, and even the history of Cheng Gong harbor, thought I almost forgot most of his words, I thought I still got the basic knowledge of Taitung. Finally, we arrived at Baxian Cave, a place I only had the memory of it through the textbook, but this time, I had the opportunity see it in person, quite a pleasure. I couldn't wait to see him, so I walk fast and passed the guide, in a wink I walked on the stones, and the bridge stood a little distance away from me, unfortunately, because of the typhoon, the bridge was under construction then, so we couldn't walk through it, and it may leave us the biggest regret of the trip. I still find the fun on my own, I found some sharp stones, threw them into the sea, and this was different from the behavior of the small kids, their stones just fell into water, but mine, could bounce over the water again and again until it fell, my highest record was about ten times, and I always had fun doing it. When my hands were getting sour, it was also the time we had to head back to the bus, so I used the water of the ocean to clean my hands and went back with a little regret.
The trip went back to the train station was also wonderful, we first stop was a mysterious place, there, water could flow to the higher place and wouldn't travel back, it was not my first time to see such an amazing stuff, but it still surprised me, I had my feet on the spot and kept thinking the principle of it, eventually, I didn't get any conclusion, and it did remain a wild place for me. And we stopped at a tourist information center, we were not there to search for the information, in the contrast, we went to see the performance of Amis(旮亙樂團), and their latest album was nominated for Golden Melody Awards, though you could tell the band was extraordinary, and so was their performance. They sang with a nearly pure voice, and this was not wonderful enough for me to regard them as an "extraordinary" band, it was the instruments attracted me, cause I totally hadn't seen that kind of instrument before, just like the picture shows above, they play it pretty fluently while singing perfectly, in short, their performance was great, just great! At the final song, one of the performer walked into the audiences and tended to make us sing, and surprisingly, everyone sang, I and Mom included, though I think our pronunciation wasn't quite good, it didn't matter, still, the passion mattered. To express our appreciation to them, we left a little money in the box and marked the end of this musical feast. But the trip hadn't come to the end yet, the guide, a kind man, said there was a famous food nearby, and advised us to taste it, thus, he did the pre-order, and we soon had the tasty buns(let's call it dessert)after the feast, and with a satisficing mood, we arrived a the train station at noon, because we just had a feast, so we had donuts for the "lunch", quite funny! wasn't it?
Our schedule in the afternoon was much more simple than the one in the morning, we first took the mountain route bus to the Chu Lu Ranch, and had an easy bike riding later. The trip to Chu Lu Ranch was quite long, so I used it to take a nap, and when I woke up, we had been on the mountain, and within five minutes, we arrived. There were just a few tourists, so we didn't have to rush, just relaxed in the fresh air. We firstly went to see the milking show, however, from my point of view, I thought it was a little bit inhuman and against our morality, so we just stayed for few minutes, then we went to see the procedure of making the milk, it was cool, we could see the procedure clearly through the transparent window, and there was also the introduction posting on it. And our main purpose, was to see the cow on the grass, we walked slowly through the grass and tried to get more closely to them, they weren't as many as I thought, but I still enjoyed, I watch them having great afternoon tea while standing in front the fences, and the view there was perfect, the fog might hide a little of mountains, I still immerse in that atmosphere, and cause I realized the air there was precious, I tried my best to absorb all of them, though I couldn't make it. Before leaving, we had the ice creams which was made of the local milk and the fresh milk in the restaurant and wait for the rare bus to take us back. Our final plan, was bike riding, we found a bike-renting store near the train station quickly and headed directly to Seashore Park in order to catch the most famous food there, green onion pancake, and we even did the pre-order, but before then, we arrived at the international landmark thanks to the introduction of National Geographic Channel, and there was the mark of it on the beach, but we just took some pictures there, we didn't want to miss the green onion pancake. When we arrived, I saw a long row of people standing in front of the store, and thanks to the pre-order, we got the food without two minutes, then we tasted it while sitting on the bench to see the ocean, such a great match, a delicious food, and a beautiful view. While we had our energy full, I told Mom there was a traditional train station nearby, so we went there without second thought. Unfortunately, the distance was longer than my calculation, so we got our speed up, and enjoyed the exciting feeling riding in the wind, we still made it in about thirty munites, cause it was almost night when we arriving, most of the stored had closed, we walked along the old railway and didn't do anything special, then we headed back, but I thought my decision was right, seeing more will never be worse than seeing last.
When we went back to the train station, we realized that our train delayed, but it didn't matter at all, I took a short break, and when got on the train, I started to recall all of my memories in those two days, along with recalling, I was getting more and more closely, not Kaoshiung, but the dream town.
