I jumped!!!

The palace where the first Romanian king lived

At the corner, stood a famous chocolate store

This was our first day in Romania, Bucharest. we first headed to the train station which called Gara De Nord in Romania to exchange our money into Romania currency( Lei, 8:1Euro ), it took almost one hour for all of us to exchange the money, and the counter even had to go somewhere and get more money for us, then you may know we really made her go crazy.

After changing the money, we paid a visit to the national history museum on foot which was recommend by our supervisors. On the way to museum, we were stuck by the Magnificent build standing in front of us-an opera house, although we didn't watch the show, it was totally enough for us to feel the atmosphere inside, we also saw the local university, but to be honest, I did't recognizse that was a university until supervisors told us, because in Taiwan, it's totally impossible to see a university shaped like this.

After a 15 minutes walk from the hotel, we finally arrived the museum. Fortunately, we arrived there just before they closed the door at 5, so we had merely less than one hour to check such the long Romanian history out, we briefly had some look at the flowers while passing on horseback, but we still improved our knowledge a little with the explanation from one of the following teachers who teaches history in school.

Then, we headed over to one of the most popular chocolate stores in Romania, also recommended by supervisors. we originally thought we couldn't taste them when seeing all of the seats were full outside, and our luck came up again, inside the store, there were still more than 30 seats empty, so...we quickly occupied all of them without the second thought in order to taste what the chocolate would be like. While we sitting down, a man with a nearly bald head came to us with a plate full of the chocolate cakes( about 10-15 pieces) in his hand, then he asked us whether we had willing to learn something about the flavors of the cakes, then we said'' of course, sure."then he began to give us such a long introduction without pause, and after 5 minutes, we finally can order the cakes. I order two pieces which I originally though both are pretty delicious and tasty, then something happened. When I finished the first one, I felt so sick cause the cake with the extremely sweet, but somehow, I still finished my second one, at the moment, I felt even much sicker, all I want then is the water, so I began to drink the water glass by glass, when I felt better and my brain was clear, I realized something and had some conclusion- Do not eat the cakes just because they look good. Not ended yet, there was small mistakes when we paid the bills, cause that was our first time to use Lei, it was really hard for us to recognize all of the cash and coins, but I think the biggest problem was that we order many kinds of cakes(complicated, I would say), so we had to keep checking how much the cakes we ordered on the menu and told the guy, it took us almost 10 minutes dealing with our bill, and besides sick resulted from the chocolate, my brain went dizzy cause of jet-lagged, then, I needed to calm myself first~

Our first day in Bucharest was ended in a traditional restaurant, so because of the traditional meals they offered, we again kept waitress waiting for almost half an hour to read what the menu was all about( this situation would happen lots of time in our following days~). But most of us were full because we just had two pieces of super sweet chocolate cakes in our stomach, thus, the boys shared the piece of pizza with unknown flavor together, and the girls ordered lots of stuff, I think sometimes maybe girls' stomachs are even larger than boys'.

Leaving the restaurant, we took a stroll, and I held the chance to chat with the supervisors, we talk aout our favorite singers, the daily life in Romania, I learned that the traffic rule was not a big deal there, so there were lots of street cars racings at midnight, and also, the value of parent was perry different from ours, they didn't mind their kids drinking alcohol, or even smoking, so you could see lots of kids smoking no matter on the street or at school. Knowing these kinds of thing really broadened my view.

We stopped at a convenient store to get some food, then, we finally ariived at the hotel.

After the whole day filled with the new things and, we towed our bodies without steam back to the hotel, then, we jumped into bed with out second thought...

The night view outside the hotel

The view back to our room, my roomate immediately became like this...
