Stroll on Shennong Street

One day after General Scholastic Ability Test, my family and I decided to have a little trip for two reasons, one was for me to relax after intense studying for nearly half a year and seemed to become the captive bird, the other was that it had been for a long time since our family went out together. Therefore, we chose Shennong Street- The oldest street in Tainan.

We started our journey at 10:30, when we arrived at the central-west part of Tainan, it was about 12:30. Thereby, finding something to eat was our priority. Unfortunately, before that, we had to find a place to park our car, and it took us for roughly half an hour. It didn’t really matter still, I was not hungry at all then. No sooner did we walk in Shennong Street had we found the restaurant called Aranzi, needlessly to say, it was known for it Aranzi decoration. No matter the wall, the tableware, and even the atmosphere there were all about Aranzi. Although not so familiar with the cartoon, I was fascinated by the small flag installed in the middle of the meals. They were so cute, weren’t they?

Frankly, I truly didn't understand what it is, or maybe it is just a installation art

Having gaining enough energy, it was about time for us to check Shennong Street out. Our first station was an antique play toosl shop, my Mom bought a purse there, to bar honest, I didn’t know why she bought a purse at play tool shop. Then we stopped by a shop called Five Channels Studio, which mainly sells commodity related to Taiwan, Tainan, and of course Shennong Street. I was attracted by a bag used for carrying beverage, though I have already been used to use the environmental, sometimes I may forget to take it with me, I’m sorry for this. Across Five Channels Studio stand an old building written 文青好好玩 on it brand, after studying with my Mom for a while, we finally figure out it was the room for shooting wedding picture now; however, the decorations inside were not anything about the wedding, instead, there were a lot of irreverent thing such as the chair in hairdressing salon, no wonder it is called 文青好好玩, if I can, I hope my wedding picture can be taken there.

Then we walked to the intersection, having done some research, I asked my dad to buy a bottle of red tea with a pink circle for me. Why did I say this, because the vendor only sell sixty bottles one day, and I also read some good comments on it online, tasting pink circle became an essential part of the trip. As the comment written online, the tea taste pretty special, and the pink circle was even plumper. If you ever come there, never forget to sample this. Oh, I forget to say, I didn’t take the plastic bag, because I used the bag I bought at Five Channels Studio, see? I know it musk work.

Then, we headed to the temple of wind of God, unfortunately, it didn’t open, I was a little confused first, and later my dad told me there will possibly be a welcome god ceremony at midnight, the temple had to close temporarily, what a knowledge, I never heard of this before.

Finally, we returned to the beginning of the street, and it was still nearly four. Therefore, my parents ask me whether I wanted to pay 100 NTD for an opportunity to get the cellphones, seeing such a long line while doubting whether there was truly iPhone 7 in the vending machine, I would prefer to have a cup of coffee or something. Hence, we found a coffee shop called Nie floor to relax a little. Choosing a coffee shop among nearly five ones sometimes may bother me, but not for this time.

Nie floor had a unique flavor attracted me very much, it was a store combined with coffee and carpentry workshop, and there was an exhibition in association with carpentry and the picture shooting. Furthermore, there was numerous classic book such as On The Roads, Walden, and Nesnesitelná lehkost bytí. Although I had heard of these three books for a long time, I never had an opportunity to read it. Thus, I availed myself of this precious chance to taste them a little bit. Jazz, On the Roads, and a cup of Indian milk tea, well, sounded great especially in the relaxing afternoon after regaining the freedom.

After reading about a quarter of On the roads, it was about five thirty.

We left Shennong Street, and went to another place, but is was another story.
